yes all trunks 95-05 are the same, with the exception of the 03-05 having the bezel across the middle, i have an 01 trunk on my 03. As for the lock, i dont know i havent done it yet lol

Just look at your lock and see if you can get it out.

im not sure on your particular car but when i pulled the trunk lock out it was as simple as pulling a metal clip out from behind the lock on the inside of the trunk and pulling it right out

i did the entire trunk swap by myself in one night, including removal from the junkyard. the lock is simple, and i was intimidated at first cause i never did it. There is a clip/clamp thing you remove and the lock slides right out.

yea it was alot easier than i thought. especially the lock. took us like a half hour or so.. still kinda having problems with it fitting right.. it sits up higher on the right side and a one inch gap between the actual car and the trunk, so i'll have to do a little more adjusting on the bolts to get it to fit right

i found it helpful to close the trunk with the bolts loose, get it to fit right then tighten up from inside the trunk...

good luck! I love the 03-05 cavs with older trunks!!
