Im new around here, My names Appel. i have owned 3 cavaliers, 1 sunfire
My first one was a 1994 Cavy Z24 with the 3.1 engine. Great first Car, but got totaled by a drunk driver (girl ran the stop sign
)
My Second (replaced my first) was a 1995 Cavy With a 2.2l stock engine. i drove it for 2 weeks, and sold it because i was in financial need.
my third was a 1998 Cavalier (about a year after i sold my last one) 2 dr 5 speed with a 2200 SFI engine which worked great. i lowered with some eibach springs, custom made 2.5" exhaust with koing unknown rims and a eBay intake. Another great car, but the head gasket went and i parted with the car.
My fourth wasn't really a Cavy, it was a 2001 Nissan Altima. great car but hard on gas and i got it for a great price. Drove it for 3 months and sold it for double what i paid
My fifth(still driving) was my 1999 Sunfire GTX 2200 SFI 5 speed with power sunroof. Solid car, very clean and had 80,000 on it when i got it. But i have a bad fuel mileage issue with it but hopefully my fellow J-buddies on here can help me out with that problem.
Well thanks for reading and i hope to get to know you guys very good

The Car is Canadian if it matters, but i did a google search and found plently with the GTX decals, and my insurance card says 1999 SUNFIRE GTX
Does your title say GTX?
My old Ford Escort EXP was titled as just an Escort, but my insurance card read "Ford EXP"....
Either way, I am unfamiliar with that decal, and assume it is like the "Z22" cavalier...The pictures I looked up showed a base model sunfire with a sticker.
Here is the truth
Although it does say that they were badged as such from the factory in '00-02'. But the GTX's had the 2.4L.
Not sure but Welcome to the org.

but i don't know... now that i think of it the only other thing the car has is factory side skirts. i don't know if it was an option or not but whatever. Yes, my insurance card says 1999 Sunfire GTX so its kind of hard to know the difference. But Anyways, Check out my thread in the Maintenance forum if your good with FUEl MILEAGE WHOAS
Yeah, I had never even heard of the GTX so I was like "wait a minute" lol.
