So here is my new problem, I have a 2002 cavalier LS Sport Ecotec 5spd with no reverse lights. There is power going to the wires in each bulb without the sockets and with the sockets it has no power so i changed them and nothing changed i cleaned the terminals even though i know they worked then tried the fuse it was good could it be my reverse sensor off of my transmission or is there anything else i could try? thanks for the help.

You need a new reverse switch. I had the same exact deal on my car.

Reading back over that, you say you do have power to the bulbs? Then I don't know if it's the switch.

well I have power going to the wires but they dont go to the sockets even when theres new sockets in, sorry im horrible at describing things i just blurt.

If you have 12V at the socket, than test the resistance of the ground, should be less than 2ohms
