I have a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. Wanted to drop an MSD ignition system in it but they don't sell anything for it. I'm pretty sure that its because the car has an ignition coil (boot) instead of regular spark plug wires. Doesn't look like it would be too hard to convert. Does anyone have any experience or intuition on this?
Yes, there is a wire-up on EcotecForum.com on how to go to a full MSD ignition(including a DIS-2 box). PJ(Daflyinskwirl) wrote it.
There are also threads in the performance section about it and using dodge neon or 2.2/2200 coils too.
