Well guys I finally was able to make it to the track last night. The elevation here is 4,075 ft.. I did a few runs on 5psi and two runs on 9psi. Here is my best 5psi run:
R/T: .230
60: 2.651
330: 000
1/8: 10.558
MPH: 61.85
1000: 13.554
1/4: 16.078
MPH: 87.64
9psi:
R/T: .191
60: 2.468
330: 000
1/8: 10.231
MPH: 112.37 (we found out the sensor was malfunctioning a buddy that came with it showed 375mph...lol)
1000: 13.187
1/4: 15.662
MPH: 87.91
On the 9psi you could just feel the car lossing injector. I only turned it up because my friends were pushing me and we only wanted to take it to about 7psi and ya that didn't happen. The car has a pretty bad exhaust leak that needs to be fixed and as always I need some traction. I had 60 foots from 2.404-3.008 with about a 2.6** average. My best R/T of the night was a .005. I have about a month to get some issues fixed since the track is basically done now until mid October.

those times are really strange, i ran a 15.90 stock
and your turbo car is only barely faster than when i was stock? what psi are you running in your street tires because i have pretty decent 60's on the stock eagle rs's with 2.1 60's and im running high 13's.
yea... my best times with my eco were 16.5 and my average was about 16.8-17.0;s and now since the turbo my slowest run has been a 14.5 spinning off the line like crazy and my average is 14.0-14.1.... i kno... im frustrated with that too
but it sounds like something maybe wrong...
yea i kno, the 2.4 is a different engine... but i dropped 2.5 to 3 seconds on 8psi.... maybe you are running to rich, or you have a boost leak... those 60 foots look like you may be spinning more then i was... 2.6 is not good.... my stock 60 ft was like 2.4 or something...
good luck

I am pretty sure I don't have a intercooler piping leak by I do have a pretty bad exhaust leak that I am in the process of fixing. I am still running a stock exhaust too. I know on the 9psi the car would spool and make awesome power and then just like die out so I am pretty sure that is from the current injectors. I have some of the Cobalt SS injectors that I am going to modify this weekend to run on my car. But from stock I took a 1.3 seconds off of my old time. Stock my best time was a 16.9

oh your running a 2.4, my bad
a manual Z24 on boost runs a 15.6?
something's very wrong with your car
you sure you're not missing a cylinder or 2? maybe 3?
thats horribly slow for what you have done
My buddys running 16psi out of his 300sx and his best time was a 16.2. I am going to start on the fuel rail modification today. I do have a press/vac reading on my boost gauge and I only have 5 couplers on my setup.

your friend needs to give up on that car

your track elevation must be higher than the moon!

Ya elevation is 4,075ft. I can't seem to find my spare fuel rail which leads me to think my dad tossed it so I think I am just going to have to use the one on the car and take tonight off from hanging out with everybody. Any tips on the fuel mod or issues you guys ran into? Thanks in advance!

A few things to note. First off - look at the guy's 60'.
2nd off, look at his trap speed.
That's a stock trap speed, I trapped 89mph all motor.
Stock exhaust is gonna kill ya, as is a lack of tuning. PSI means nothing if you haven't set it up right.
Exhaust leak pre-turbo will hurt spoolup times and an exhaust leak post-turbo will only help. haha.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
Might I add that last year on an ecotec clutch on my LD9 misfiring all of 3rd and 4th gear with bald tires and over 250 lbs of crap in the trunk I managed a 14.2 @ 100 mph with a 2.8 60' on 10 lbs of boost.
You've got a lot left in that thing, trust me.

I hope so. I am still working on my fuel rail/injector mod. I am trying to grab a day in my college's machine shop. I am going to just order a 2.5inch cat back exhaust. I am pretty sure I can get into the mid 14's or lower. Cars here generally run a second slower than those at sea level. But I am going to try and do some more modifications and double check all my clamps and hopefully the weather will hold until they do the last few drags at the track. Thanks for the input.

my stock cavy ran a 15.2 at 90 mph 3 weeks ago in WA at pacific raceways...all i have is a cat back

Sorry elevation is actually closer to 4,668 feet. My 2.5 inch exhaust will be here next week so I am also looking forward to getting that installed as well.

Ya I have some control arm bushings and I am trying to get a cheap deal on some drag radials because it just spins all of the line and if I try to feaher it out it will just hit boost again and spin. I will hopefully have new times in 2 weeks when the track has its last few openings for the year.

It's a boosted car...it's not affected like N/A cars.

this is a serious question. is that because of the difference in atmospheric pressure? which would not matter on a boosted car because the boost counters the need for any atmospheric pressure? im not an expert on any of this. trying to learn. thanks
......your best 1/8 was a 10.2 @ 9psi.......I have a 96z gm s/c'd with NO reflash (SAFC-II only) and i ran a 9.6 @ 4.5psi....Either the stock exhaust is KILLING you or you might want to get a manual on how to drive a.....uhhh.....MANUAL......<-------That was not flamage!
9.6--1/8 mile @ 5 psi
"Ya elevation is 4,075ft", so according to
http://tsrsoftware.com/nhra%20elevation%20correction%20factors.htm
you take your
1/4: 15.662 * .9497 = 14.87
MPH: 87.91* 1.0535 = 92.61
Better, but the 60ft is still weak. Using some weaker "ricer math", if you dropped the 60ft from 2.468 to 2.1, assuming each .1 in the 60ft = .15 in the 1/4, you'd have run a corrected 14.318, which is getting to the respectable zone.
15.3 @ 89.97mph, 14's on the way?

"boosted" cars isn't quite correct there, it should be 'turbo' cars. Cars with blowers will definately be affected, and cars with superchargers would be affected. Turbos will still be slower, but not to the same extent as the others. Turbos are due to the increased heat from the compressor operating at a higher pressure ratio, moving the compressor further out of its efficiency range (or into, if it was designed with elevation in mind). The superchargers operate at a set pressure ratio (determined by pulley size), so lower inlet pressure = lower outlet pressure, and this will actually magnify the effect of elevation change (affected more so than NA even). Blowers push a set amount of air, so less air in = less air out, period.

a leak post turbo can hurt spool times too. you still need a small amount of back pressure on the back side of the turbine, which is why you dont run bigger than 2.5-3.0 inch exhaust....
