New Track time
Friday, May 23, 2008 10:55 PM
I ran a best of 14.6@ 93mph tonite at Pittsburgh Raceway Park. I was very disappointed with the time seeing that i ran a 14.8 with the stock supercharger pulley and the stock 2.4l throttlebody. now i have a 2.6 pulley and a 62mm rsm throttlebody. i think its time to get a new clutch. and some ss injectors.

What are your 60' times? Did you remove the sub and box? How much fuel did you have in it? what was the temp and humidity? Were you running then stock LS Sport wheels? What tires are on them?

All things above can affect your times.

2.25" exhaust might be good for N/A, but with boost its probably restricing your top end. An exhaust cam with a little more duration and lift seems to help the SCed motors alot. With the added chage going into the motor, you need more exhaust to keep up. (These are generalities concerning a boosted motor and my observations of those running boosted 2.4TCs)

i did not remove the sub and box. i had a little over 1/4 tank. temp was around 60 and im not sure on the humidity. i am on the stock ls sport wheels and i have fuzion hri 205/55/16 tires on them with the tread kinda low.

Hell I ran a 14.8 with a 2.7 pulley and rsm tb, but Im auto, and it was hot and the track wasnt prepped very well that night so nobody was getting good traction. Do you have methanol? I have a 2.6 pulley, md crank pulley, ttr auto mount, ss injectors, and a full 2.5" exhaust to go in before I go back to the track. I am also gona pick up a coolingmist kit soon, and may run with my friends m/t slicks on 15" kosie k1's. I think I should be in the lower 14's with all these done.

But 14.6 isnt bad at all.
