my trip to louisville. you can read the story or just say screw your silly words and skip to the pictures.

THURSDAY we took the day off to go drive the car down to the louisville expo center. we collected every piece of road salt and dirt we could including driving thru a short 5 minute long blizzard. after about 2 hours waiting to finally get the car inside and find out our 10'x20' space is actually 15'x17'. this pissed me off, but i ended up folding the carpet up under itself and managed to get it taped down. was still dissapointed i couldn't set the display up like i normally do. by that time we only had about 3 hours to clean the car before we had to head back to indy to pick up my son. all said a nice 300 mile roundtrip.

FRIDAY i worked till about 3 then picked up the kid and the wife and started out for Cincinnati, what wait, Cincinnati? yeah we had to drop nolan off at my sisters for the weekend, being 3 hes still not ready for full weekends at the show. so after a dropoff at Cincy it was off to Louisville to get to the show. nice 190 mile trip.

SATURDAY we were able to relax and settle in for a good day. walked allot. saw all the show cars and the auto show cars (they have both going on at the same time) and had a nice day no driving, well except for dinner.

SUNDAY hung out at the show for a few hours then headed east to go pick up my son. we only had to drive around 45 miles to get him, my sister me me most of the way. then we sat there and tried to contain him as we sat thru a 3 hour awards ceremony. i think they gave awards out to people in the parking lot as well or at least it seemed. then it was off to tear down and tape the car up and get home. we headed home and i got into the driveway around 10pm sunday night and locked the keys in the car. so after running to the store for some metal coathangers i broke into the car and got it into the garage by around midnight. I won my class which doesnt mean much since there is never anyone in the class. the outstanding sport compact went to the topless scion that was all fiberglass, the street achievement went to a kharma ghia ( i never really though of them being considered a sports compact car) so that ends the winter shows for me. now im waiting for warmer weather to start doing some more mods. drive time for sunday was around 190 miles


all said and done close to 700 miles driven. lol.
