interesting for sure, kind of nice they used a compressed air cylinder instead of some sort of explosive detonation that could burn lol..
but... is see A LOT of issues with these.. I'm predicting a lot of malfunctions, or what happens to the compressed gas over time through different weather conditions? increase in pressure cause un-triggered release?
I don't know, i just have a awkward feeling on this being a great new thing.
Thats awesome.... another thing for us to look out for when we are cutting people out of cars. as if there are not enough hazards already.
Seems kinda cool, but what about the ones that buckle up but put the shoulder belt behind them..??
I remember people doing that all the time when I was younger.

I dont see a point. Isnt the idea of an airbag to keep you from smacking the dash? What does the inflatable seatbelt do besides hold you back like a regular one?
From what I'm getting from it, it's supposed to spread out the area that the belt uses to hold you back so it's not so much pressure.

It's not supposed to replace frontal airbags, it's supposed to supplement them. These are made especially for rear passengers that don't have frontal cushions....

Seems like a good idea....i'd be worried cuz kids tend to have their seat belts off to the side and such.
This is interesting also:
lol that securefoam clip was awesome.
How's it work with Child Car Seats, notably a rear facing one? Also would be worried about how most kids don't wear the shoulder belt normally.
I don't really see this catching on...
