intake is 286 duration and exhaut is 294
intake lift is .502 exhaust is .510
its a hydraulic cam
Man I wish I could hear this beast! Damn my work and their hatred of streamed video!
seems pretty close to mine except I went with a solid cam in my 355.
Pix of the car?
Not sure if its the tail pipes or what but im not impressed. Ever think about dumping them at the rearend?
I just watched it. I'm going to assume that it wasn't warmed up at all. What is you idle set at? which carb is on that thing and what CFM?
it was not warm i just drove it to my laneway from next door and did a video it was only at 130 degrees.
The car is a Holley 750 HP model car idles around 1200 rpm.
As for the exhaust its dumped there as thats the factory location and i want the car to appear stock
a 750 seems a bit large for that engine. I would say go with a 650, it might just run a bit better.
its the same carb we have always had on this engine........and its went 11.92 with the steel heads
add the edelbrock performer RPM aluminum heads and it runs 11.3
At the track it runs on 110 race fuel.
You also have to remember i am in Canada when i took that vid it was 3 degrees celsus and the car had not ran for 2 months. + the car being cold.
I will get a better vid sometime.
really! what do you have for a valve train on this thing? What do you set your timing to? which tranny? Whats done to the tranny?
What kind of cast heads were on it?
the heads are 492 casting camel hump heads
they are fuly ported and polished
3 angle valve job with 2.02/1.60 manley valves
comp triple valve Springs
the cam is a XE284h
has crane roller rockers,
edelbrock Performer RPM air gap intake
The tranny is a TH350 that is fully built with a manual valve body shifts HARD
it has a neil chance 3500 stall converter. I launch the starting line at 3200rpm
rear end is a 10 bolt with 4.10 gears posi and strange Axles with C Clip eliminators
The car has the cast heads on it because i want it to look stock
timing is 36 degrees at full advance.
the bottom end is a 4 bolt 350 block
bored .030 with flat top TRW pistons
The block is also decked and the heads are shaved to be 62cc (hence the 10.5-11:1 compression)
i also forgot the heads have screw in studs, guide plates etc.
