So I picked up an 03 TB LT. So far I love it, I have been in them many times and know some people with them. The only somewhat bad part is that my avg. mpg is about 13.5. I talked to some other owners and they are getting about 16-17. Now I don't really care, paying for gas doesn't bother me. However if it can be improved then I would like to try.
Get a K&N intake and Flowmaster 40 muffler.. helped my dad get about 2-3 mpg out of it.

Idk what my parents does but all I know is that it eats gas. But it could definitely use a tune up
Get the "Tornado" and "Prolong".

Not sure what it converts to in MPG's, but when I was driving my dads TB around I believe I got 14.1 litres /100 km.
Mind you, that was with me driving
With my dad driving the car, he is the type to be hard on and off the pedals, whereas I go for smooth transitions.
Get a throttle body spacer and a chip and thatll be good for like 70 MPG and 200 hp..
lol sorry had to.
I'm getting about 17-18 in town with my 05 4.2. I've just got a K&N filter....try using some injector cleaner next time you fill up on gas, it helped me when I first bought it.
I wish i was getting that in mine haha. Im at 11 avg. Then again heavy foot and 400 plus hp drinks it some more.
I got 18 to 21 mostly highway 02 tb ltz 4.2 but I babied it. only mod was WAI
Use the instant MPG on your cluster to see what youre doing wrong.
I reset the mpg thingy and it comes out to 18-20mpg now. I guess it was stuck at 13.5.
18-20 isn't bad out of something that big. I'd be pretty happy with that in something like a TrailBlazer.

I'll find out tomorrow when I fill mine up for the first time since I bought it...
I snagged an 06 TB LS little over a week ago. I love it so far myself.
Update - 15mpg with mainly local driving. Not too bad I don't think.
I get about 15.8mpg in my 2006 4.2 TB LS, mixed city/highway driving. Never taken it on a long trip, so I don't know what it would get with all highway driving.
