TPS cuttin motor out

i have a prob i currently runnin a 00 Z with a itb set up and im tuning it now to make it run in safe zones so i can just drive it till dyno. im usin a 2.3 tps and it reads only 52% open when its WOT but i try to rev it and it will cut everything out and back fire and when i just plug in a 2.4 sensor and just and leave it there and 0% it will rev well AF its around 12.5 and runs fine. i assume the sensor is bad but shouldnt it just read 52% and not cut it all out anyways?

what model are the itb's and how did you run tps? because the 2.3 sensor is probably only going to plug into 1or 2 throttle bodies.

you only need one tps because the throttles are connected on a common shaft

X2 The computer is all screwed up cause the tps, MAP and RPM are way out of sync for any of the parameters in the computer. Try changing the sensor and see what happens

ok well we figured it out. paul made it with a 2.3 shaft in and a 2.4 (what i used) shaft is in a different position then a 2.3s sensor so it moves about half way till it actually hits the sensor. used a 2.4 shaft cuz paul miss placed the 2.3 1 and now can't find it lol.
So made some new holes for the 2.4 tps and works great now.

i have a map reading around 92-94 trying to make it work since it doesnt have a manifold it just has a vacuum canister for it.

I was thinking since a gsxr 1000 manifold is smaller then a reg 2.4 or 2.3 manifold would it be better to run a gsxr map sensor over the standard 1 or wouldnt it matter

right now it'l idol around 1000-1100 for like 5-10 seconds and then just climb up after that

any ideas?

the map sensor you use shouldn't matter.

crappy map signal = welcome to the world of ITBs.

do you have all the throttles converging on the vacuum canister for the map sensor to plug into?
