PCM style?
Monday, March 21, 2005 10:48 PM
Question is this: What type of PCM does the 2200 SFI's have(i.e.Karman, hot wire/flap/pressure,etc). I am asking since I am installing my S-AFC2, and don't know if I need the jumper type for the airflow sensor crap. Also, where do you get the RPM signal from? DO you splice into the camshaft position sensor or where? Any help is appreciated.

Wow, way to be helpful.

The sensor is a pressure sensor, 5 volt reference, so set the SAFC to 5in 5out. Getting an rpm reading is a bit more difficult, I believe you have to tap the pink wire on the ICM, I'll take a look at the wiring diagram and see for you in a little bit.

Ok, on the 2.2 PCM, if you look at the black connector, you can tap the white wire coming out of pin 10.

Thanx Shifted, but what black connector are you talking about. The one on the ICM or the one on the PCM?

OK, you said PCM not ICM, sorry sometimes my brain farts!

BTW, are all my connections supposed to be in the 5V low reference lines, or in the power line for all my sensors? I have a subscription to ALLDATA for my car and have pinouts for all my wiring, I just need to know which wires go where.

Different sensors output different voltages. The MAP is 0-5v. Not all sensors have power lines, like your O2 sensor.

i answered his questions, i see no reason for your hostile sarcasm.

You didn't answer anything...

His first question is "what type of MAP sensor do we have"

Your answer: MAP

His second question: "Where can I get a tach signal"

Your answer: Tach signal

So am I missing something there?

So I need to route the wires to the reference wires if applicable?

No, you need the signal wires, the reference wires should be a constant voltage.
