so long story short i blew the timing chain and while its all apart being rebuilt me and my mechanic friend decided were going to go old school and ditch the computers. these engines don't need them and ittle be fun to make work.
already fabbing up an intake manifold for a carburetor and im hunting my local junkyards for an iron duke 2.5 to rob the distributor from.
now i have no recollection where i heard it but i remember something about ignition timing on these engines are horrible from the factory and there are nice gains to be had if you can adjust it.
since were going with a cam driven distributor we can adjust it all we want.
so is there an ideal timing position on these motors i should strive for?
