I finished building up my 1996 2.2L. I am sure i could get more power tuning it.
What options are around for tuning? Which are best and why? Will these options allow me to go from my current N/A state, and upgrade to Turbo/SC??
I just finished my 2.2 with the following:
Wiseco 8:1 Compression Forged Pistons (Low comp. for my future boost)
JBP Stage 2 Camshaft (Dur .050*, Valve Lift INTAKE 195*, 456 EXHAUST 192*, 440)
JBP Sportsman Connecting Rods
New Valves
Performance Valve Springs (492lbs/inch @ 2 inches)
Speed Pro HTs Lifters
Full Port and Polish on Cylinder Head 3-angle, Mill.
1.6:1 Magnum Roller Rockers
Chrome Molly Steel Retainers and Valve Locks
Clevette 77 Cam, Main, and Rod Bearings
FUTURE: TURBO or S/C
The best would be a standalone cause you have full control and no interferance. Under boost, an SAFC wouldn't be the best choice for tuning because it's RPM based, not based on Boost. I'm not sure how the E-manage does with tuning and boost on the 2.4s. Now you still have the option of using an FMU as well. It's really up to what you want to do and how much control or what type of control you want.

Yes.
My suggestion to you is to go with a turbo setup...the gains on the OHVs are much more respectable and impressive than with the RSM Superchargers (because they are the only company that have superchargers for the OHVs).
What questions did you have about the DIS-2?
If you have any other questions, just ask.

Def go stand alone you can get a haltech setup pretty cheap, make sure you get the flying lead set with it. You can get a E6GMX for $675.00, controll everything ull ever need to do.
