Hey,
I get a good bit of exhaust soot after only a few days with not too many miles driven. Is it time to change the spark plugs? I've had AC DELCO iridium for a year and a half. I know if had my turbo in, I would rather see black soot then not as it is better to run a little rich than lean. Is there something, even though small it seems, up with my air/fuel ratio? I've had my check engine light come on, only happened once a few weeks ago, stayed on for 2 days and disappeared. I wonder if my sensor is about to go out causing me to run slightly rich?
Don't even know if I'm on the right track here..Appreciate the help
Thanks

i have rc engineering 270cc injectors installed in my car and last summer i would see some soot in the tip as you described as well... idk what your issues may bay, but i attributed my soot to the larger injectors. idk if that really is the case though, i always thought the computer compensated for the larger injectors anyways, as well as they arent that much larger than stock, stock being 250cc.
Do you think you're running slightly rich? And did you change out to a different plug because of extra fuel output?
Thanks

Bingo.
But all in all, better rich then lean.
Appreciate it guys!! Not messed with the SAFC or the AFPR. It was dyno tuned at the right mixtures. I'm going to change out my sparks (same ones again), see if that helps a little. I5 or thousand miles isn't a lot on the plug but I drive hard and pump in a little more fuel.
