front bumper question
Thursday, March 24, 2005 10:01 AM
I am awaiting the arrival of my vis Ballistix front bumper and had a quick question. If I install the bumper with out the styrofoam reinforcement from the original bumper, is that going to cause any problems? havent seen the bumper yet, so not sure what I am up against. Thanks for any replies

It will probably sag terribly without any support.
You may have to trim the styrofoam. Take your time and do it right the first time.

isnt it rubber, not styrofoam? well anyway i took both of mine off when i did my bumpers. i trimed it down nearly all the way to about nothing so i just took them off. i since put my stock rear back on and its fine. no sag or anything. only thing you have to worry about is someone hitting you.

When I purchased my car it had no crush guards(styrofoam) or bumpers and I put on a body kit with out them and seems to be fine. Some kits don't tend to like that piece on the car.
