i took mine off the other day. cost me 5 dollars in filler, 10 in primer and paint, and another 10 for sandpapers. with some hours of work its done real cheap. looks a million times better if you ask me.

How much did you spend welding in the holes?

i got mine quoted at the body shop that did my body kit... welding in the spoiler holes and the antenna hole then body filler and refinish and repaint entire rear deck: 450, but the guy knows me pretty well so he said 370 cash... i think i'll just do it myself, then have him paint it.

if you just wanted temporary, you coulda just covered the holes with electrical tape... talk about easy and extremely temporary.

why go to the trouble of doing all that work and painting it just to redo it....15 more minutes and you could of had em welded shut

you could always just goto a junk yard and grab a trunk lid that has no spoiler on it. thats even easier then taking the wing off. if your lucky you can prolly find one the same color. around eastern pa theres a ton of sunfires in the yards.

With no spoiler it almost looks like the back of the car should be the front

I think Sunfires look so sexy with no spoiler. I hate the stock spoiler. Mine will be gone very soon .

i say keep the wing.. if you want a temp fix i can make you some white vinyl stickers.. your cars so clean tho.. when you fix them fix them the right way.

ah thats true. it may have a lot to do with that kit. but i don't like body kits. also that matched color rear plastic insert thing. i wonder what it would look like if i painted mine white

i'm just removing, not adding.

I do not like sunfires without spoilers

It just doesnt look right for some reason

Re: thinking about removing my rear spoiler

If I was you I wouldnt get the spoiler taken off. I think it looks pretty nice from the side view and plus if you take it off your ground effects dont stand out very well and I think your car will look pretty plain. Some cars look good with no spoiler. Others don't.
