Its actually the hood on mecksters car, i really love the look of the hood, but i'm trying to convert my car to a cavfire so i need this hood for a sunfire, i could also do with an insert of just the scoops, but i have yet to find anybody that makes these hoods or inserts that could fit a sunfire, any info would be great thanks in advance.

close but not the same, i guess i'll just have to call off the sunfire conversion, i dont think i have the budget to buy a cavalier hood and then mod the front to fit the sunfire lights, then again, i might have the time hmmm anybody ever do anything kinda like that? i'm curious how i could lay the glass in so that it doesnt distort the hoods body lines and isnt weak at the same time, i know with ski hulls we just lay it on thick enough to fill the hole, grind around the edges a couple inches lay another layer, grind some more and lay another layer till its alittle higher than the rest of the hull then grind it flat, anybody know if that would work on this? also does anyone know if the hoods are true fiberglass or smc? fiberglass is much nicer to work with as smc will fracture like rock layers when its stressed on a weak spot. any info on the hood would be very nice.
