ok so I started taking my old bumper off of my 2nd gen cav. today and about 10:oo PM. well I didnt get it off till about 6:30 cause of two bolts behing hte head like assembly. well I got them off. After that I test fitted my fx bumper on. well crapp happened and it so happened the right side set up 1/2" higher than the left. so I have to do some handy dandy crafty shafty work to the bumper. so I cut it off messured and dura glassed it back together. Tomarrow I will sand and fit again. anyone else have to do this process?
Miller
also. anyone with the 2nd gen have to cut the metal bumper suppor thing at an angle on both ends to clear for the fx bumper?
im not surprised. that bumper doesnt seem like a high quality product to me.
yeah well it was a high price 432 after mesh and shipped. good thing is is there was no cracks and the guy was easy to deal with. If you know how to glass its not that big of a deal otherwise it would be.
it's one of the best quality bumper for the secong gen and yeah theres a design flaw, the passenger side is crooked!
yeah its pretty stable and secure. but with a little more thought the kit could be perfect. today I'ma gonna cut the right side of the mouth on the bottom and remold so its even. then I gotta figure a way to secure the bottom so its not just the top bolts holding it in. Like I said with a little experience in f/g and some knowledge the kit goes together nicely.... Urethane
I was saying you couldnt do that with urethane. but I have to torch or saw zaw some of my bumper support out to clear and but my mess in with.
