i did search and the bumper should fit but you gotta cut the crush guard a bit dont you cause the guy a sold my rear bumper to says it dont fit at all
I don't think you have to cut anything. However you will have to get the pieces just under the trail lights off a 95-99. The flaps under the tail lights on a 00 rear bumper are actually connected to the bumper unlike on the 95-99's where they are a separate piece.

i just helped a buddy do this on his 2000 and you have to cut the little bumps that are under the head lights lights cuz the 2000 ones are bigger than the 95-99 it looks pretty sweet, just cut a little bit off at a time so you get a perfect fit!!!

Hey lafngas,
Did you do this swap? I'm lookin' at finding anything I can regarding throwing a '99 Z24 rear bumper on my '01 Z24. I just like the look of the '99 a whole lot more than my '01 for some reason. In any case if you find out any more or manage to do the swap let me know!
geez back from the dead. its a direct swap. i have an 00z rear on my 98
sweet... good to know. Saves me laying in a snow drift trying to dremel off tabs and drill out new mounting holes!
I have a z rear on my 97 - direct swap.
