some bitch kid in my neighborhood threw a rock and it hit my carbon fiber hood and before i could chase him down and kill him he scaled a neighbors wall and was gone. the worst part is that now i have a very small crack in the clear coat all the way to the carbon fiber. is there anything i can do to fix this or prevent it from getting bigger? i live in AZ and i know the summer heat can't be good for the crack. some help please!!!!!!!!!!

Hey you are in AZ?? We need to meet up!! well depending on how bad it is it can be fixed!
It might just be easier to get a new one depending on the damage
(Insert really cool picture of my car with some catchy name or slogan here)
the damage is not that bad about the length of a quarter. it is the fact that i am afraid of it spreading or the hood turning yellow. i have heard this can happen. IDEAS???!!!!!
ps slo2pt2 i live in tucson and i have been looking for some fellow jbody owners to meet up with
if that crack is right by the grill part and thats a vis invader i dont think that rock did it. i have about 20 of those little cracks right around the scoop grill part but i have had my hood since like the second one they came out with.
it is a VIS evo hood. how long have you had the cracks? are they growing at all? i am mainly concerned about that and discoloration of the hood. what have you done for your hood?
get insurance to pay for it.

How would that work again?
"Hi, I replaced my origianl hood that was covered with a different one that isn't. Now, despite not being covered, I was wondering if you could go ahead and replace the whole thing instead of just getting it repainted."
lol
Besides, the deductible might be more than the cost of repair, and if it isn't, it still wouldn't be worth the boost in insurance price...
I was thinking you could maybe get one of the window repair kits, and try to fill it out yourself , depending on exactly how it lays it may be possible or not, i know my old hood which had a bigger crack about the size of a nickel, the guy i sold it to was gonna get it fixed somewhere not sure what they are doing to fix it. BTW it was as round as a nickel not just that long of a crack

Fill it with something so that water doesn't get in, gel coat, clear coat, or your wifes nailpolish clear coat hardener.
