whats up guys.i just bought the lambos from Joe's gp.(thanks joe!) i just wanted to know a few things. i put the hinges on already, i have them lining up as good as i can get them. they close alright except for missing the striker sometimes. ouch! hurts me just as much as the car when it happens. anyway i tried and tried to use the adjustments but as much as i do it never lines up right. also when washing my car water gets inside where the hinges are through the small gap. my question for this is, will this cause a problem for the hinges if they get wet? and if any of you have either of these problems with the striker or the water in the fender. what have you done? i thought about making some sort or guard that will block the water from coming in. i have yet to try it though. anybody with answers please let me know. all comments appreciated in advance - ricky

try loosing the screws on the hinges where they bolt to the car and pushing the hinge itself back to adjust the door a little bit thats what i had to do
i have a prob with the striker once and a while cause my friends suck and keep fickin it up!
yes!! friends @!#$ alwaysss @!#$ it up!..lol lambos are a bitch gets old quick. bit makes up for it everytime i open it them in front of a bucnh of people..lol
i was wondering about the water thing too.... will these things rust out or anything if gotten too wet... because i live in colorado and will be getting F1 fenders so they will be exposed to snow and rain
i think the lining up of the striker is never going to be perfect because i can sit there all day messing with the adjustment and it never lines up right. im happy with it now. i got the space between the door and the body and the fender lined up good.just sucks that my brother misses the damn striker ever morning when he gets in! but im still concerned about the water thing. i might just have to make some kind of guard or something so the water doesnt get in there on the hinge itself. thanks for the help guys. ill post here soon if i can fix the water problem.

i never miss my striker and my door is lined up perfect? i dont get why everyone is having such problems
most hindges have the adjustment on the hindge done adjust the striker.. or your door wont line up. its like a 17mm bolt on mine i losen n make the adjustment..
same problem for me but I think after the shock gives a bit you can adjust it and it will be ok..if not just do what I do for now....pull the door down and line it up and make sure it doesn;t hit
..that always works too...and when your friend hits it bitch at them
over the few weeks that ive had them ive gotten used to how to shut them. my passenger side shuts better than my driver side. everybody who gets in my car on the passenger side is scared to shut it lol so i have to get out and open the door and close it. shocks did get a little softer and dont shoot up anymore. takes time i guess. -

it seems like all i have to do is just push the door all the way down and then go straight to close. if i dont get the door all the way down is when i have a problem with it hitting the striker.

I have noticed that missing the striker is one thing, but also when you openthe door the actual latch inside the door doesnt always open fully, so when u shut it, it hits the striker dead on, but catches the latch and then the door "locks" like it would when shut, but then if u go to shut it again it bangs, so youhave to lift the handle then flip the latch and do over again.
The easiest way to fix it, is put them on, let the strut/hinge bend/sag whatever for a few weeks, then adjust again.
