ok so its kind of misleading.
What i'm actually going to attempt to do is, to shave my inner tails so they are flush with the outer trunk lid maybe alittle lower than the surface then i'm going to fiberglass over the outer edges and onto the trunks metal edges around the light, then sand everything smooth and use a thin layer of body filler.
Now i'm pretty confident i can pull this off, the question i have is, has anybody ever done this?
I was thinking of leaving the back up lights exposed, but i'm not sure would be alot more work to leave them exposed, i'll probably just relocate them.
Anywho i'm just looking for some feedback on this one as i dont intend it to last forever i just want my trunk shaved and this seems plausable. Also does anyone know where i can find tail light filler panels? i've searched and i think it was winks that sold them but i cant find them anywhere. thanks in advance

you wouldnt happen to have a picture of how it turned out would you?

i dont suggest fiberglassing it.
do it the right way and weld it, i work at a body shop and do this quite often. Welding it is by far the easiest way and most efficient.
