When I went into work last Thursday, a fellow employee asked me what year my was.
I told him it was a 2000(didn't occur to me why he wanted to know). He said nevermind.
Puzzled I asked why he wanted to know, and what he meant by nevermind.
He explained that some one had some bomex bumpers for a 95-99 for $100.
I figured they weren't bomex and some cheap knock off, but $100 for front and back, I figured they would be worth a look. So yesterday I finally went to go look and low and
behold they were real bomex bumpers and not even used! I talked to the guy said
the the orginal kit purchaser, never gave him the full amount of money said he owed him $200 so he said I could have the bumpers for $100 he just wanted them out of there. So I forked over the cash loaded them in the truck, now there trimmed drying from paint(which was only $8).
So does anyone know a good place to buy side skirts for a sedan? Also a wing cause
know the back of my car is like a freaking picnic table. Anyone have pics with the RKsport prostock wing and a bomex kit?
do the bumpers have the bomex stamp on the inside of the bumpers?

i hope you didnt paint them w/ a can. as for the sides, you can get 4 door bomex sides. i think the best wing would be the pro-stock wing since it hangs off the back of the lid and it will probably line up good w/ the bumper
Sure did have the sticker inside embedded in the resin. As for the paint my family owns a body shop. The bright white only costed me $8 because its acryllic enamal. I wanted base coat clear, but the whole car is being painted soon when in have more time and the side skirts and wing.
Oh, does anyone with body kits without mesh have any trash, radiator, or bird problems?
alright the way your worded it sounded like you painted in a garage w/ a spray can. ive had my kit for 2 years w/ no mesh. no problems
dead animal problems...

also remember bomex dropped their prices a while back they arent as expensive

what is the bomex orignal made of, i take it fiberglass, has anybody had trouble with the poly ones??
if im correct they would be made of polyurethane (if thats how u spell it) or ABS plastic... fiberglass are the knockoffs on ebay, much more breakable.
true bomex is fiberglass

the urethane kits were "the knock offs" but fit fairly well from what i understand and urethane much more durable

Should've painted it after it was installed on the car. I never realized this until an old friend of mine, who took body shop classes back in high school, pointed out that body panels and bumpers bend and flex when they're installed to the car and can cause cracking and chipping of the paint. It's always better to install the part on the car, then mask everything off and paint, than it is to paint and then install.
Now I know why I always see tons of fixed up cars with cracked/chipped paint on thier bumpers.
Anywas, that's just an FYI for the future but congrats on the great deal

we had one humid night here last summer when i had my old neon, frogs all over the road jumping accross the road. 2 inch drop, wings west big mouth kit(with mesh), i found 3 fried frogs the next morning in the grill.... better than the radiator i suppose

What kind of deal are we talking about? The only reason I got the paint so cheap is because it was acryllic. If you want base coat clear coat I need a paint code or a color, all together with the base, reducer, clear and hardner. We're talking about $150. Just email me what color and we talk further into details.
