okay so im trying to remove the brake light from my spoiler so i can paint it. however im not sure how to do this. can anyone tell me how they got theirs out without removing the spoiler
im also trying to remove the lock so i can paint it too. i cant figure this out either. if anybody knows how to do this, that would be great

i tried getting my lock out on the fire last week before i traded it in but i couldnt get it out so i finally said f it lol...i think its one of those twist and pull deals...good luck

For the 3rd break light lense.. just undo the 2 screws that u can see on the front of the lense.. it will come right out...
For the lock have fun with that... All that work getting it out your better off shaving it.

i can get the brake light out with the screws, i just didnt want to have to paint things while theyre on the car, i will paint the lock

the lock is not that hard to get out i have had one out before had to switch deck lids there should just be a retainer clip on itholding it in there and thats pretty much it if i remember right

you see that light gray piece of metal between the lock cylinder and the trunk lid that's open on one end and bent on the other? that's a clip to hold it in place. slide that out and the lock cylinder should come right out with a little twisting.

cannon fodder- yea removing that piece would allow the actual cylinder to come free but i still need to separate the cable and black plastic piece from the cylider to be able to remove it all the way
also, my last post about the light was not exactly what i meant (it was 3 am and i was drunk) i can pull the brake light out after removing the screws but that doesnt allow it to be free from the car, the wires are still connected. can you just pull the wires through the gromment or what

that cable just unstaps from the cylinder doesn't it at least i thought it did
