Exhaust tip placement opinions
Thursday, June 30, 2005 11:27 AM
My Cav is at the custom exhaust shop right now (pics tomorrow!) getting the dual Magnaflows with the stainless Camaro-style tips.

The guy just called me and wanted to know if I wanted the tips to come straight out or slighly turned outward to keep a straight edge along the curve of the bumper. He said that if they were left straight, the curve of the bumper would show more tip on one side than the other, and suggested the other way. I agreed.

Did I make the right call? Probably not too late to change it before he finishes the car this afternoon...

Thanks!

Steve

OK, just picked it up - definitely made the right choice.

I'll get some pics up later today.

I got 2 Magnaflow stainless steel mufflers, the pipe and the tips installed for about 600. This guy is the best in town - had to wait 6 weeks to get the appt.

This is my set up. I did and i used a Dynomax muffler from a Camaro rather than the two muflers. i got the Black Camaro tips on my car. A friend help me with the header but the custom 2.5" down pipe, 2.5" Catback resonator exhaust got done for $100.00 I got a hook up plus these guys go excellent work.
I like to see the Camaro Tip on the cav. I want to see how yours looks.

Here is what mine looks like. I like the look would not change it for anything. I like this because you don't have that muffler hanging down.
