I know there is no SS model for a 05 Cav. So, I would like your input of what you think a SS should have on it, if it was built by the factory (bumpers, lights, exhaust,...)
in a nutshell.... the turbosport concept
Well in my opinion it should have the minimum of the following:
17 or 18 inch wheel set up (probably those similar to the SS Supercharged)...
sport tune performance suspension
unique body kit that's different form the base bumpers and LS Sport bumpers.
2.2L Supercharged Ecotec engine that produces at least 180hp with some good torque numbers
Unique rear spoiler
A lower aggressive stance than the Cavalier/LS/LS Sport
Clear Taillights with LED output and clear 3rd brake light.
Updated Audio system with perhaps an in-dash 6 disc CD/mp3 changer and the pioneer 7 speaker audio system.
Special 5 speed manual tranny with an optional 6 speed being available.
Only come in a manual tranmission.
Maybe projector headlamps and foglamps
Top speed limit of more than the 108mph cut off
I know I didn't get into all the mechanical aspects of what should be on an SS Cavalier, since I don't know the mechanical aspects but these are the things that come to mind. I also know that some people are going to scoff at the idea of an SS vehicle having less than 200 hp but what can I say...that's just my thinking.
^^^pretty much most of that
just DONT put ss badges please

I wouldn't mind AN SS emblum on the back of the car where the trunk is... just like on the old cars.... don't put it on the side or anything tho...
SS around the keyhole for the truck just like on the old cars...
"Silver 2001 Cavalier z24 5 speed 2 door sunroof and power everything "
AEM Short Ram Intake
B&M Short Throw Shifter
If its an SS then it needs a cowl induction hood, racing stripes, and duel exhaust, upgraded interior and more horses under the hood, 18' wheels and better suspension and 4 wheel discs.
Good Luck with it make sure you post some pics when your done.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

The same situation I was in, lol. Look for a spoiler called the "Supra Wing".
For an SS cav exterior I would say the 03+ GM xtreme kit with wing.
Supercharged eco making more than the SRT4.
18 in wheels.
Much better interior.

i personaly think GM should have made an SS, and it should have been made from 00-02 with that grey turbosport concept...and 03-05 with their yellow turbosport concept as the base. i mean seriously, GM teased us soooo bad with those concepts with all the nice ideas and nice parts, and it was all feasable, nothing over the top or out there like some concept cars, GM just didnt deliver, and i wanna kick em in the teeth for it
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
i had lots of toys when i was young.slinky,etc.but once i found my penis, that was all she wrote

Don't know about the SS, but the
SS-R would be built based upon the Cavalier Extreme, but on a ISV Coupe without A/C, sound system, or backseat. Add Momo seats and bagless steering wheel for Canada only.
Some Cavalier Extreme Tidbits
SS-R
^^^^^That's my idea of an SS
well since you guys are talkn bout makin a "stock" SS cavy... i would keep the Cavalier emblem on the back and maybe put the SS emblem where the LS or whatever is. Take off the chevy emblem maybe...but thats just my oppinion of what a "stock" SS should have, of course agreeing pretty much with all that other stuff. And get a dual scoop hood cuz if im not mistaken all the older SS cars had double scoop hoods right?
...are you trolls that dumb that you cant realize mid 15s is slower then 14s?
if they would of made that yellow cavalier as the ss model it would of sold like hell
i would of bought it in a second.....im so pissed they never did make it
ok heres what it would need
A full fiberglass blitz body kit
Supra style wing
Eram supercharger
Spinner 14 inch plastic hub caps
Clear Alteze tail lights
Press on hood scoops
Some single shot N02 bottles
Fart Cannon
lol that would be so sweet.

I believe he was joking...except for the spinner hubcaps...those are too hype!

why?
^^obviously didn't catch the sarcasm behind that..
Well I think the SS should have:
a small block V8 awd with a six speed
-Targa top availability
-Complete widebody kit with 19's and air bag suspension
...but for real
-I agree on the Extreme tuner kit for exterior
-Nice deep sounding dual exhaust
-S/C (or turbo..puttin out over 200 horses) (considering the SS has 205 on a 2.0)
-Nice leather interior with racing seats with car colored accents, and options for color matched dash pieces.
-5 sp(6 sp. option) with Short throw shifter,
-Some nice 17 or 18 in 5 spoke wheels (available in chrome or gunmetal),
-Lower more aggressive stance with sport tuned suspension
-Upgraded Sound system with sub and opt. 6 disc CD changer
-Much better Racing style steering wheel..even if there has to be an aribag..with leather accents to match the car
Not sure what else but there are a few things I beleive the ss should have
