i would recommend not doing it, your car is to nice!!! it usually makes the corners of the trunk by the window stick up. but if done right it looks cool. sorry i dont have the instructions i was just giving a heads up about the way the trunk sits afterwards... oh and everyone the replies will probably tell you to search, cuz i know wits been brought up a few times here is what i came up with flip flop trunk hope that helps

the kit cost me 475(got them from modified-motorsports) in a group purchase, he is offering them for 500 shipped now!!! and me and a couple friends put them on so it didnt cost anthing to install them
and the instructions for the sunfire flip flop trunk are I THINK the same as the cavs

Flip flop's are cool for about two month's if your lucky. I installed a set on a freind of mine's sunfire,(ebay kit) only to take it back off a couple of month's later and it messed up the catch for the trunk lid. IMHO I would'nt do it but it's your freind's car let him decide.

it's all about what you want.

I had it done and it was a great show stopper, I just hated it for practicality wize....

I got fed up and changed it back to stock...

then a few shows later I missed it...so i went back to the flip flop...again a little while later I was fed up with the hassle of opening and closing it making sure it stayed down tight (image it flying off :O )

so i put it back to stock, and it was my best decision

but if you wanna go for it, then go for it.
