I'm thinking about scrapping my roll call and doing some kind of tribal theme on my Cav. I am a graphic designer who is part owner of a sign shop and I just bought a 300.00 CD-ROM with thousands of tribal designs.
I KNOW that many of you do not like graphics so that is not my question. My question is whether tribal artwork is relevant to the J scene or if it's more of an import thing. I have sold some graphics to the crotch rocket community but I don't really know a whole lot about it.
I just don't want to make an ass out of myself putting artwork on the car that does not go with it. I realize that I should do what makes me happy, but if I plan to show this car next year I want to stay within the current trends.
Any advice is much appreciated - anyone who is looking for tribal art, PM me. God knows I have plenty to choose from!
It's yours, go for it. Did you ever see the NOPI cav and sunfire from 04? the both had tribal on them and looked pretty good.

tribal is a lot more relevent to the J than the kanji and dragons i see around here.

is it OK?? do what you want, I say tribal isnt the most popular thing in the tuner scene.. the roll call might be more of the look your going for if your trying to maintain a certian "image". Other than that do what you want.. Personally I dont like any stickers on a cars body.. looks dumb

The reason most of us dont like them is because tribal graphics and graphics all together were cool a few years ago, not anymore. If people dont like them, you obviously wont see them in car shows. If you really want to stick to the current trends, graphics arent the way to go.

Post up afew pics, so that we can see what they could look like on a car. If done right, some tribal art work could look really classy imo.
Theres a black cav around here with a silver tribal design, about the same color as their wheels. Looks really good to me.

Sdime5 here some food for thought for you. Sure it may not be that popular in the tuner world, but that is probably what most of us are shooting for. I know that is what I am shooting for. I do not want my car looking like everyone else's in the world. Your opinion is your opion, and that is more that likely one you should keep to yourself. We really do not care what your likes and dislikes are, evidently you did not learn when your company died that what you like is not what I like or what anyone else likes. I agree with everyone else here, go back under your rock because your village is missing their idiot.
Ghost flames have always been and will always be cool as sh-t ! Some things are classic and will never ever go out of style. Its like blue jeans and a button down shrit they're always in style.

thanks me too, they are actually better now I redid them when a deer ran into the side of my car lol.
