Good morning Org. I am about to bring my vertical doors back to the stock hinges. I plan on removing the hinges while leaving the doors on. I saw a show where they had installed hinges and removed hinges while leaving the door on by using a certain tape. They taped the door to the body of the car (while the door was closed obviously). I was wondering can anyone recommend a certain kind of tape that is strong enough to do this. It's gonna be me alone to do this.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks
Alex
a buddy of mine used a rachet strape and wraped it around both doors.. worked great
any sort of masking tape or painters tape will work fine as long as you use enough of it, and it's made to not leave a residue on whatever surface you put it on.
yup, used blue painters tape, a ton of it, and it worked great
Thanks for all the quick responses. I am gonna go for the tape.
Thanks again
Alex
I actually used rope from home depot and tied my doors together using the handles. I did the changeover alone also.

Well, the driver side shock broke but the passenger side is fine. I am probably going to sell them or trade them for some power window motors....lol. My driver side and passenger side motors are dead...lol.
I deffinetly do not want them anymore so I am probably going to sell them. I emailed the company I bought them from to see if I can buy a replacement shock but haven't heard back yet. Probably on vacation or really busy.
Thanks
Alex
