Anyone know if they make a z3 like fender inserts that you can have put into your foem fenders so you dont have to buy the whole fiberglass fenders?
e-bay has abs plastic inserts; but how the hell would plastic and metal fenders work together and have them filled in and sit flesh in the oem fender; you cant sand plastic; would not work to good.
I am looking for metal ventst hat i can have a body place insert into my oem front fenders to get the z3 look without replacing my fenders with fiberglass ones;; since it seems like it will cost a @!#$ load of money to have a fiberglass set installed and fitted.

it'd be cheaper to buy the whole fender than to mold in an insert
I may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
it would be alot cheaper to buy steel z3 fenders then to have a shop weld in inserts.
HEY TERRY... If you're looking for inserts, I may be able to work with you.
I have a set of (shipping) damaged Cavalier z3 steel fenders that I could cut the z3 vents off and easily ship those to you at a much lower price than $60 and they're yours. Let me know.

Hummm, jason please hold those z3's for me, i am going to call a body shop back today and get a price on having the z3 inserts put into my fenders.
And according to one body shop it would be cheaper and easier to put in vents in my oem fenders then actual fiberglass fenders.
I will e-mail you jason for price on vents and shipping, thanks jason and everyone.

better check on the quality of the shop. just buy fenders w/ them already molded in. its much easier and cheaper
ok just think of it this way. Your goin to have to pay alot more in labor the anything if you have them weld in inserts. To weld in the inserts their goin to have to remove ur fender, cut a hole, weld in the inserts, grind, bondo, sand, reinstall the fender vs. takin off ur oem fender and installin a new one.
I bought a set of AeroGear glass fenders and they fit like hammered dog crap. I tried reworking them for a few days and never could get the fit to satisfy me (I've been told I'm kind of dick when it comes to fit and finish). So I ran them through the band saw and molded them into my factory fenders.
Anyone on here that's seen my car up close and personal can tell you it looks like they came that way from GM.

Those fenders you have with the inserts molded in look some mint; thats what i want to have mine look like, going to buy the set off jason when i find out how much a body shop will chrage to do this procedure.
Fiberglass inserts will mold and bond to the oem metal fenders?
Thanks everyone.
