When most of you get a kit and have it put on your car at a body shop; do you just get the kit paintted and installed; or are most of you getting your whole car repaitted as the kit is being installed?
or are you having the kit paintted and blending into the doors etc....
just want to know what most are doing when they buy a kit.....

i buy a kit, test fit it to the car then send it off to get painted. you can have them blend it if you want but i never do
i buy the kit, test fit it, primer it, paint it, put it on
but i havent painted matched anything just painted it all black so it looks better then primer.. and then ill get the whole car repainted but thats just cuz i have quite a bit of body work needed and paint is in really bad condition..
buy it, test it, paint it
paint should match right up, maybe not at first, but as it sits it will, atleast thats how mine is.
buy it, wait...... wait...... wait....... wait...... finally it gets there. pull the stock, test the kit, bolt it up, glass it. blend it in and make sure the lines are right then sand and paint the whole car. so that way you cover any scratches that you might have gotten. also lets you go 2 tone or whatever you want

why glass the kit once its on? plus whats the point of sanding and painting the whole car if the kit is the only thing that needs to be painted?

Yeah thats what i was thinking; if i do get a kit; by the time i pay to have it paintted and put on, there is no way i can get the whole car paintted, nor do i need to have the car paintted.
so that sounds good; buy the kit; fit the kit, prime and paint the kit, get it bolted up; cool thanks very much

like i said painting the whole car is to get rid of nicks, dings, dents and scratches. also when you do this.........
