I want to swap a 00-02 front end on my third gen cavy
these are the supplies i think i need:
- 00-02 Cavalier Headlights(with plastic mount)
- 00-02 Corner Lights
- 00-02 Front Bumper
- 00-02 Fenders
- 2 x 9007 High/Low Beam Bulbs
- 2 x 3157 Turn signal Bulbs(any 3rd Gen has these for turn signals so not necessary unless you need new bulbs, you can use what came with your car)
- From the donor car's wiring harness, or two 9007 headlight sockets(unless you have a 03-05 Cavalier, these already use this bulb for headlights)
- Corner Bracket, this holds your 00-02 Corner Lights by one of the prongs on the back of the light
Is there anything else i'll need to swap the front end?
since u are going from a 03-05.. u will also need the hood and latch that bolts to the hood.
you will not need new fenders or the wiring.. u already have 9007 headlight lambp wiring so thats done.. you just need the headlights, corners, corner brackets, hood, hood latch, and bumper.
btw, congrats on actually finding the sticky and reading it.
yeah... i was bout to post this and saw the sticky so i just coppied that and put it on here to see if there was anything else i needed
and i herd from chris ense that the 03-05 hoods would fit the 00-02 headlights
um no it wont.. 95-02 hoods are all the same.. but 03-05 hoods wont fit right on the headlights.. itll look like @!#$ and prolly mess up ur headlights..

well he told me that monkeys can fly and that if i pour orange juice in my gas tank it will give me 300hp! but on a serious note If you need any info on front end swaps actually read the sticky or message the author of it lol. Im sure stephen dont mind answering your questions lol.
