does anyone have an aftermarket sunroof ??
I know of at least a couple with sliding ragtops
no one has like the manual ones
Manual ones suck. If you're going to get a sunroof installed, might as well get a power sunroof installed...Trust me. I had a manual one...
look up a webasto, mine is aftermarket from the dealer. fully 1 touch power open and close. i love mine.
how much do they cost and you have no leaks ?
I have one out of a 1997 Grand am, sliding electric sun roof, complete with everything including switches and stuff. 100$ plus shipping. 125 shipped is in US.

mines an aftermarket power if your going to do it, do power
who would install it where would i even start to look for someone to do it
Any install shop would do it, if it is OEM they like it more because they know they are good.

a previous owner put a manual sunroof in my sunfire... it's nowhere near as nice as a power sliding sunroof.
as for the cost of doing something like this... every shop will vary, so go to some local shops in your area and get estimates. check on body work that they've done and see how good of a job they do. cheaper isn't always better, but that doesn't mean you have to sell your first born child to pay for it either, find a happy medium.
sorry to bump in, but just wonderin how hard it would be to instal one by myself, that is if i were to go get one from a junk yard.... what all is involved in an install....?
mine was on when i bought it, but i love mine. its the webasto, and its fully 1 touch most you have to hold the button to close. you just press it once for mine and it shuts. also if it is left open and you take the key out of the ignition, it automatically shuts for you. thats one of my favorie features. oh an zero leaks BTW

you would have to cut the exact size hole in your roof and headliner. fit the sunroof in the hole properly and seal it up. wire the controls so it has power.
sounds easy, but if you cut the hole wrong or don't seal it properly it will leak whenever it rains and cause damage. if you have never done anything like this, it's probably best to take it to a professional to get done. besides, that way, if they mess it up you can always get them to fix it at no cost.
