HID

Does anyone run HID headlights? I just got mine today and the plug does not match up to my cavi. I called the place where I got them from, and they said it was because I have high beam headlights so they told me to just cut the wires and match them up. I guess my question is does anyone know witch wires are what on the light harness? I have a black and red wire that needs to be matched up from the HID'S Any help?

...that's probably not the greatest idea. Return it and get one that's made for your car.

actually, when I built my projectors, (with the help from josh, Izn Trbl) I found a set of 2004 Lexus RX 330 projectors, with the HIDS. Now everyone knows that lexus doesn't = chevy, but the wires for them is just a power and ground...that's it....now big deal. But if he was expecting a plug and play system, then send them back, but if he doesn't want to deal with that, just find a wiring diagram for the power and ground on the headlight harness.....should be found here on the .org!

Yeah I was looking for plug and play but I figure it will be more easy to just cut and match the wires. Thanks, Billy

eric: figured id show some pix too........

RX330 Projectors.

great for the price, but you have to do allot of work on cutting the shield, and they are quite bulky which makes it a little harder to work with.

TSX and S2000 projectors are great due to they have a wide beam and to get great color out of them is very simple.

i have other pictures and opinions on many other projectors if you are interested. just shoot me an email (located in my profile) or visit my site: www.izntrbl.com.

the bosch E46 single xenon projectors are best for the 95-99 apc projector retro. they have the perfect distance from the lens to the rear housing which is what you need due to you need something that is not too long nor too short to go from the back of the lights to reach exactly to the black bezels they have where the junky lens sits. so basically you are looking at projectors that measure 2.5" from the base of the lens, to the face of the rear projector housing. not a whole lot of projector have these exact measurements. but with time, im sure anything is possible.

good luck with everything, and you may shoot me an email if you have any questions. joshua(at)izntrbl.com
