well since i read basically every post in a few random forum parts here as last post about this said for best results spray on thin layers start with two and see what that looks like for you cause it will dry darker than appears. once happy with the outcome you dont need to clear em you should sjut be able to pollish them.. i forgot what type of polish he used but i belive it was a m3 or mothers fine cut til it gets smooth and shines then jsut plain auto wax should do the job for ya

The first thing you need to is use some 2000 grit sandpaer and gently wet sand the tailights with soapy water. Then wash and dry them. It is extremely important anytime you paint something to make sure it is 100% clean and has no wax or even oil from your fingerprints on it. To do this use a plain white paper towel and some rubbing alcohol to wipe down the peice before painting. Then shake the can of nightshade well and apply very thin coats to keep it from running.
After you are satified with how dark they are and they have fully dried use 2000 grit sandpaer with soapy water to gently rough the surface up. Then after you wash of the saopy water from wet sanding them, dry them. I strongly reccomend clearing them. They truley will look better. Some have had good luck doing this with a spray can of clear. I would personally reccomend taking them to any body shop and asking them to clear them for you. Most body shops would do this for a $20.00 bill or for free if you have them doing other paint work for you at the same time.
