so my headlights have always worked just fine. one day my bright on the passenger side went out. a little while later the fog went out on the same side. since this time i decided to fix the lights i bought all new headlights and both fogs. i changed them and once again the same lights went out. now today i went to change them again and the bright bulb isnt even bad (burnt out). but still i changed it and now this time it didnt work whatsoever.
my question is, is the harness shot? any ideas to fix this...?
Check the socket first, a lot of time corrosion will get in there and cause a bulb not to light.
Then check your power and grounds to see what you do/dont have at the bulb.
Then replace as necessary. I doubt you would need a whole harness.
where the bulb plugs in appears to be just fine. i dont know about the power or the grounds, i havent checked them and its to cold and dark to try to look now. also, how do i know whats what?
did you take a ohmmeter to the fusebox?
^^^ nope, i dont have one. but please explain.
alright, im going to bump this to hopefully get some help.
its still been pretty cold out to really check out all of the wires. but....can someone tell me if the lights in the HVAC, headlights, and fog lights are related in some kind of way. that might be able to pin point my problem better.
for a re-cap my passenger side bright doesnt work, or the foglight, and my two HVAC lights dont work. again, i checked all the bulbs and they are fine. but they have to be "wired" or related together somehow.....maybe im wrong
can anyone help me out, before i take it in? i would like to try to pin point the problem to save on how much itll cost to get fixed.
