lady who works with me has an 97 2,2 sunfire in need of an new cat verter
factory cat verter,i got some prices and such already
and since its bascily same as my car.gonna have some fun with it
are they easy to replace,do they need gasket,,etc etc etc
gonna get a few bucks out the deal,always help someone out in trouble.shop wants to charge her $500
i'll do it for $100,p[lus she gotta get the cat verter

i know how to do the job.i changed them out before
but i never done one on an cav.sun fire
i changed one on my geo,and my pontiac sunbird
i know on my dads old 03 cav,it had oxygen sensors on it,,,so before i do the job.wanna make sure i can do the job

If its an 03 cav it would have the eco in it and not sure if it would be the same set up as the 2.2 ohv engines exhaust. I have an 02 sunfire with the ohv and the o2 censor was after the cat. You can get a replacement cat at Autozone for 30-40 bucks its cheap but does the same job you will need some reducer fittings to weld to the new cat so it fits better...all in all about a one job.
