Anyone with a convertible ever have there roof squeak where it meets the windshield, when hitting bumps and whatnot? Its really annoying because my suspension is done for and driving without the radio is a constant squeak. I tried lubing it up but that didn't help. If I hold down the switch to put the top up, it suppresses it until I let go, then comes right back. I guess its just not tight enough? maybe a weather strip would help?
any opinions throw them at me!
Just to comfirn before I render an opinion, is the noise you are hearing deftintely a squeak? Or is it a rattle or tump?
It's a squeak, like new basketball shoes on the court but fast and repetitive. I opened the roof and shoved some napkins in the gap and closed it. that stopped the sound, so it mut not be closing tight enough.
Mine squeeks also, upon inspection the header panel frame thing is broken. the top has to be removed on teh front to fix it.
