I kno they don't sell led Taillights for tha 03-05 Cavaliers but has anybody here tried make them using oem 03-05 taillights or aftermarket 1's? I had led 1's for 95-02 Cavaliers on my 99 n their @!#$in junky ass plastic like dollar store cap gun @!#$, make 1 little mistake wit em and they crack like nothin, so I won't buy another set even though they do look good at night, they also allow moisture in tha trunk which we all kno is bad for tha subs, amps, wiring, etc... I'm gonna try wit some help ta make my own using some led tractor trailer lights, a ferrari style I'm thinkin but if anybody got pictures, or advice, ANYTHING!!! show me please lol!!!

I was thin king about getting some mid 90s' LED taillight for a Dodge Ram,(because these have the correct light connector as our cars); hack up the housing to make the lights fit inside a hacked up cavalier housing, seal it back up. only trouble is how to deal with everyones problem about the fast blinking and blowin fuses, headlights not coming on and such. also right now money is a big issue, waitin for tax return
I have a relay from off ebay that slows tha blinking down, i't worked pretty good on my 99 so i kept it when I sold it, but that dodge thing sounds pretty good i'll have ta check that out too

Just as a fyi, you know the 95-02's are the exact same lights as the 03-05. So those LED taillights that you used on ur 99 will fit the 03-05. Just saying. But if u decide to try to LED tails, post some pics, bc im curious.
Not cavalier ones, but heres some that I made to show what I did:
1. Buy said LED lights. (I got mine from a transport trucking company down the road from me. 4" brake light, 2" signal light)
2. Remove lenses, and install into housings, secure with screws and silicone
3. Silicone lenses back to housings and secure:

Only thing Id see different for a cav LED taillight would be that the 4" brake light probably wont fit (something smaller would probably be needed), and that the housing themselves may be harder to mount the LEDs to

the 1's I have now r around 3 1/2 wit 18 led's in both but I'll probably do tha same thing wit tha signal too and yeah I kno tha 1's off tha 99 will fit but I sold them wit tha car and the plastic their made from is cheap as @!#$, for tha money their not worth it in my eyes, but those sunfire 1's turned out mint, kinda tha same idea but without tha red lenes or tha tint, tryna pick up a set of 03-05 outers ta work wit now and 04-05 inner wit tha brass emblem so I can LED tha reverse lights too. If I get this out my head and in progress, it should be mint when its done

Jesus Christ.... i cant take reading these kinda posts anymore. This the third one this morning I've seen and its ridiculous. Nobody gives a @!#$ about grammar anymore. I mean this post gave me a headache trying to decipher it.

I gutted a set of Cobalt LED tails and retrofitted them into 95-02 cav tails...$60 shipped off ebay, and the led housing was the exact size I needed to replace the reflector dish in the cav tails.
my dad and me retrofitted a upgraded board with LEDS that are usually used for pool lights and wired them in my tail lights... bright as all get out and look great

TYC = Toyota Cavalier??? if so... then no, as the toyotas have a split area for the turn vs the brake/running

Not trying to be a complete dick but yeah If i heard you talk like that I would effin hate it. Yes, it does have to do with being stupid and lazy. I'm not trying to take you to grammar school here but come on, really? I tried reading your response and got a head ache trying to read it ( thanks by the way ). It just shows a major lack in intellect and education to me.
But with that aside I can at least give you some topic related advise. A lot of people with the 03-05 cavaliers swap to the older 95-02 taillights. They do have LED tails for the 95-02 cavaliers but they are junk. Just some advise, stay away from them.

I have an 03 cav but would love led tails. Not to start something ( :lol: ) but what makes them junk? And where are you basing that information off of?
