I have a 2000 Z24 and I have a set of driving lights hooked up to the stock wiring..
I've read some of the DRL Disable/Headlight Tricks sticky, I haven't came up with much. Also tried searching.
Its getting pretty annoying. I want to use high beams and my driving lights, because my headlights suck right now. Saving for H.I.D.'s
I tried using a tap off the high beam wire on the passenger side headlight, and while the car was on, the driving lights would work with both low and high, however, if you shut off the car, the wire I tapped was hot.. even though the light was off.. So my driving lights stayed on.
What can I do? I don't really want to add switches and stuff. I would like to keep the stock switch.
connect your fog ground wire to the high and low grounds on the headlight plug you tapped into. so when your high or low beams are on it will complete the ground circuit for your fogs to stay on.. pretty simple.
and i hope your saving for HIDs with projectors and are not going to just put HIDs in your factory headlight housing blinding everyone in the on coming lane because you don't know that your headlights are not made for HIDs. Yeah you will be able to see better but everyone else coming at you wont be able to see anything, and you wont see much if they veer into you because they couldnt see.
Oh I'm definitely going with projectors. Pisses me off when I drive at night with all these rich assh*les in lifted trucks and HIDs in halogen housings. And they all get like 8000K-12000K bulbs...
Thanks, I'm gunna try that sometime here.
i dont understand.
I bought a 2004 sunfire NEW.
From day ONE, my high beams, and fogs ALWAYS worked together.
any ideas, since im the Original owner, and had never touched it before i sold it?
