Plastic bumper "body work"
Wednesday, December 29, 2010 2:52 PM
I am looking to pick up a 03 LS rear for my cav. I want to fill in the "Chevrolet" in the rear bumper but know better then to use just regular filler.

What products..ie fusor, 3m...etc should I be using to do the filling in of this? Also if there are any kinds that doesn't involve buying the expensive gun that would rock!

I also have started...or shall I say am finishing modding my import fighter front to my 02 headlights...what should I be using for the molding / filling / bonding on that.

Ive read that poly-flex by Evercoat is a good filler for the finishing stages..truth?

thanks for the help..

fusor would be your best bet for that and drill a ton of pin holes in it too.

What are the pin holes for?

*I know very little about body work*

The idea behind the pinholes is to let the fusor or like product to seep through and help it bond. But im not a fan of drilling the holes since it leaves the product completely open to water and such to get under it, via the holes.

I know basic bodywork concepts and such...but haven't really worked with the newer adhesives/fillers.

once you drill the holes... the fusor will come through the holes and seal it....
