depends, usually people take their car to a body shop to fix dents..if money is an issue you can try to fix it yourself but you gotta think about the outcome and if its worth it to you. You can take the back trim panel out on that side and take your time and lighly tap it oput with a rubber mallet (ive done this before and it worked) but then you may have mixed results, it might not get every little part out but can look alot better or you can over do it and knock paint off. its a matter of results your looking for.

Looks like it might be a dent fixable by the hair dryer & compressed air method... I have not done this before so I can't say for myself, but I've heard it works... Heat up the area with a hair dryer, then spray it with a can of compressed air (upsidown so the liquid comes out)... the immediate extreme temperature change should restrict the metal quickly enough where it will want to return to it's most natural state. This works with dents that don't have an actual crease... so it looks like it could work for you. Look it up, there are vids on youtube.

At least go to a PPG store and get SEM. The primer actually holds up pretty good to the elements. I had my car painted with actual automotive flat black, and painted a piece I had to repair with said SEM primer. It actually matched perfectly and showed no chalkiness in the couple of months I had it on there before I had the car painted. It will cost more than the wal-mart crap, but will be less likely to break down over time. It also clogs sandpaper less than that cheap stuff in case you want it painted later on. All that being said, it is going to scratch easily since there is no clear coat.

Cars that could just be a pos beater in primer should never be painted matte black.
