My buddy has a fast DSM (untuned dynod 515hp to the wheels and ran 11.3) and on DSM.ORG there is a list of the fastest known DSM's, hes like #13 for FWD and then they have AWD, and I think (can't remember) N/A

that would be impossible to do because it would only start fights, appearance is a matter of opinions, performance isnt, especially quarter mile times/horsepower/etc <br>

As for stuff other than 1/4 times.. the only one I see working is sounds system i.e. decibel drags.. <br>

woudl work for 1/4, and 1/8 mile, hp,tq, things liek that.

looks are opinion. audio depends on the mic used and also has no way to verify. At least with preformance if you want to make fake proof it take a bit of work on your part. <br>

As for proof, those who really want to be on the list should be able to drive however far they have to to get to a track with a light-up time display. Most $150 digital video cameras can capture MPEG so I'm sure its do-able.

I think it's familiarity. Most people, with Js, have only had them for a short time (young uns'
) and they are not familiar with the "history" and all the various options.
As I'm sure you saw at the Bash, the majority of the cars there are 2.2, 2.4, eco so that is what is familiar.
As for the top dog post... everyone knows that Frank from Racetech is fastest, or at least the fastest that can back it up with a Bash Trophy (a few?).

I agree with scott, you'd have to include 2nd and 1st gens as well. Fastest 2.0, 2.0 turbo, 2.8, 3.1, 2.2ohv, 2.4, and 2.2 eco and whoever else I forgot, then fastest 1st gen motor swap, 2nd gen motor swap and 3rd gen motor swap. Make a top ten list of each, that would be cool.
As for proof, a scanned timeslip and a vid should do the trick. Make sure you get the car # on the vid and the ET lit up on the board. That should coincide with the scanned timeslip. or if you can't do video, a sequence of digi pics should work. One pic of the car staging with the # visible, and one pic of the board at the end of the run with the car visible in the shot. Also to be accompanied by a timeslip. backup runs should be a requirement too. If someone ran one 13.0 and their next best was a 13.6, you have to go with the 13.6. Really, that shouldn't be a problem though. If you can do it once without your car blowing up, you should be able to do it again. If not, you shouldn't count it. <br>
