Yes, it's gone. Pretty bittersweet
I traded it in yesterday on a 2002 Ford Escape XLT, 4x4. Last week I cleaned it up to put it on eBay, and the next day I was on my way back from lunch and heard a slight ticking noise as I pulled into my garage. I shut off my AC and it stopped, so I ignored it. Later, I was heading to town and it started as soon as I started my car. I checked the oil and it was a little low (eek) so I went and got some oil and put it in... nothing changed. I had to come back to school so I took my grandpa's 1985 Grand Marquis (aka PimpMobile) and went back while my parents took it to the dealership.
Initial inclinations pointed to a spun rod bearing, but upon deeper review found that it was much worse and needed a new engine = $1800 at the dealership. Since I was getting ready to try and sell it anyways, I went ahead and did it there since they had a car I was looking at anyways! Traded for Retail minus repair costs ($4000), and got a 2002 Ford Escape XLT with 54K miles on it for $12,900. Seems like a great deal so far. I needed something more "professional" since I am starting at
Design Ideas on Monday in the Marketing Dept.

DUDE! NO! God I love your ride. Was one of my favorites on the ORG. Your car gave me the inspiration to mod my car. I am deeply saddened with the loss of this sweet ride.
Good luck with the new ride. All the best to you man. Be sure to still hang out on the ORG here. Will miss your ride ALOT.

Wow, first HanzenRider, you, and Jack Brown. Old Schoolers are dropping like flies. 2005 really marks a major turning point for this site. i think this is the biggest drop off point for a majority of founding members. Good luck with the new job and truck.
