I wanted to know the reason why the speed limit question is banned..the reason beeing is that i want www.montrealracing .com ..witch is basically the biggest car forum in quebec..maybe canada..to ban the question or the talk about it...I live in MTL and alot of kids are posting the questions....so i want to get rid of it..I asked the moderators and they said legally its fine to talk about it.though it is dangerous..basically i wanted to know if the police approached this site or if they warmed to close the forums...help me out if possible

It's really as simple as this: we moderators as a collective decided that we would make a policy to not discuss removing the speed limiter based on the very limited legal uses for it being outweighed vastly by the potential illegal uses for it. Furthermore, we decided that if someone was going to bypass the speed limiter, we wanted no involvement, both legally or morally.

Our stance is that we as an organization do not approve of the many illegal uses of this modification, and since we are unable to limit the information given out to only those legal purposes, we will distance ourselves from it all together and not allow it at all.
