i have recently been starting alot of question threads on here. i know alot of people complain about flaming but i have never had a problem with that and the people who have been responding have been extremely helpful and informative and i have read a lot and searchet ALOT.

actually the org has been cleaing up its act lately. also youll find that ignorant comments come from ignorant people (well yeah) and what is great is that as you progress so will your help. youl find that there will be plenty of @!#$s to jump on you about intake Q's and other simple stuff like that, but ass you progress those same people that make fun of you will disaper. why? simple they are not at all passoniate about what they do. youll notice that soon as you start asking questions that require some knowldge those "@!#$s" wont beable to awnser your question anymore and wont talk @!#$. those who will awnser your questions will be people just like you that are here to learn and progress there abiltiys and knowldge. they will be glad to help because they were in your position. unfortunetly no matter how smart you get theres always going to be dick heads, but you can just smile and laugh knowing that your knowldge is miles above theres.
but be carefull once you start asking really advanced questions you will only have two outlets. heavy researching, and shifted.
oh and I have a PM and have been a noob feel free to PM with any Q's you might have. I should be able to awnser them and if I cant I could probalbly point you in the direrction of someone who could

I get annoyed when someone asks a semi-complicated question, and people respond with "why don't you search". Kinda defeats the purpose of the forum, ne?
Yea, some people here are just completely ridiculous and need to be shot at point blank range with a 12 gauge to the face, while others are pretty cool and will give you some good insight.

There are alot of good people on the org. They tend to get outnumbered by the idiots with nothing good to post. Most people say to search but the search feature is semi-confusing (I just finally figured it out) if you dont know what to look for.

people are just too lazy now. if people would take 10 mins out and search their question/problem. i bet 99.9% of the time they will find their answers in a search, but no, everyone needs things handed to them so they feel the need to post another thread on the same topic. hell even half the time there is the same question like 5-6 threads down
i agree the search engine sucks, but most of the times if you just take a few minutes to look at the actual posts you can find what your looking for. and most of the time those of us that do say search arn't doing it to be asses, its generally because we probalby just answered that questions 100 times and its probalby answered in a post directly below on the first page.
anyplace that has 10,000 memebers is going to have good people as well as @!#$s. you just have to take your time, read thru posts and you start finding out who to listen to and who to just ignore.

Yeah, the search engine blows. Just means there's room for improvement.
The crap answers still abound, but most good questions get good answers in there somewhere.
Definately agree with BC98, soooo many people want to be spoon fed the info when they could just read the FAQ and find most of the answers.

Guess I am one of the !@#$ers, but oh well.
I'm used to all the haters already being here since 00 (didn't sign up till 02 cause that's when I bought the J).
But lately, it's like random nOObs or people you've never heard of start jumping on other members just because a well known member jumped on them? Then you have guys mis-informing out the a s $. Guys who are just learning about nitrous (for example), start ragging on other new comers just because they read two or three posts already of people talking about the same topic. It's sometimes hilarious, its sometimes irritating, and I either say something in a grown up way, or just not post. Both tend to work and get heated situations calmed down.
BUT, I enjoy the org, and will prolly be here till it dies........It's been too frequent of a internet stop everytime I get online to not do it 4-5yrs down the line.

yeah that is why i usually search as much as possible before asking anything. but alot of my questions are becoming even more specific and technical and it gets hard to search for stuff like that. i know what you guys mean about a ? with a topic with the same ? 4 threads down. before i even asked my first question on here i read every faq, sticky, and library entry i could. but anyways i figured i might as well say thanks to those who help. being a dick every once and while is okay tho too. LoL
