Longetivity of J-Body.org

Man, let me tell you I just strolled back to this site on a boring Saturday to find out this site is alive and kicking as much as it ever was. Let me tell a story.

Back in 2001 I bought a 2000 Z24 and was looking around for some mods and came across this site. Well, that got me hooked, ended up meeting a couple local guys in New Brunswick (Canada) that were on here and decided to arrange a meet. That first meet included a visitor from JCO at the time, Jacob Govan. From there I was hooked even more, so I decided to start a local J-Body club.

That club was called Chaotic Concepts, and we ended up becoming the club for the entire province of New Brunswick and during its prime we had over 100 members, and most of them very active. We with the help of JANS (the NS club) we literally took over PEI for two days during a weekend cruise.

For three years I went through a wide arrange of personal problems, spent a fortune on my Z24 to make it the first Cavalier in NB with a body kit, and a Type J at that (was on the waiting list), plus our club went up and down like a yo-yo with organizational issues. Although, over that time I personally met so many friends that I will never forget EVER in life, including the love of my life and my fiance, I decided to move on.

Since that time I have gone through a crazy amount of vehicles, went from a student to a career professional and have grown up so much since back then, but you know what, I still love cars and my heart will always be open to a nice J-Body, hell my fiance and I still have one with a Soundspeed kit on it, just because we can't let go completely.

Anyways, what I am trying to get at here is more related to the post about Saint. It is absolutely amazing how long this forum has been around, and there is literally been generations of people come through this place. The knowledge and friendship that arises from a community like this is unforgettable. And then when I read after all this time what happened to Saint, and the things that have happened since then in appreciation of him and his family I just believe there is more to J-Body.Org than the obvoious.

Dave you are a great man for being able to run this site for so long, the amount of positive that has come out of the site is probably not even accountable. But for me personally, I would like to say thanks and keep up the great work, its not even about the cars, its about the people, and at least here on this site it is obvious of that.

Now rollin' in my Durango, only got the one J project left.
