Do you sandblast the parts or do they need to come prepped?

We can prep it or you can pre prep it, there will be an additional charge to prep the parts for you. However, they must be preped well enough, that we will paint them, so some additional prep work by us maybe needed.

^^^ Email us all quotes.

Also, the chrome we have is a powder coat, the same ones we use on the mounts we make, which is close to real chrome

Where were you 2 weeks ago?

I paid a good chunk of change to have my HO done locally as none of my other sources got back to me in time.

Nice to know for future use though.

We can coat the 2.4L cover for $40.00, however the cover is rough from the factory, so it would be that same texture but would have our xhrome powder coating on it.

We can do a high temp powder coat on a header, however we are unsure how long it will stay on.

The factory coating has an tendency to lift over time, so before doing any IDI covers I'd make sure to strip them of the original coating and down the the bare aluminum which at the same time exposes a smoother surface. I had mine sandblasted, then painted and it came out excellent with only a very minor texture.

All can be done, one solid color though... We can do parts 10 foot by 10 foot by 3 foot

Again, shipping would be very high on a part that size.

I used simple "paint Remover" from local hardware store, strong stuff. It took the dark greyish finish right off, no sanding was needed, and then i sprayed my IDI cover with a high heat flat black, going on two years, and looks great. Just an easy to do type thing that i recommend, that you dont need to use elbow grease. (i used a plastic brush type thing to scrub the paint off..but paint remover just eats the paint, and pretty much eats the plastic bristles on the brush..you have to wear gloves and i suggest a mask...)
