i posted this earlier.. dunno what happened to the thread. anyways, blew a hole in the bottom of my ld9 in my 99z. im not sure whether i should just get another ld9 or consiser a 2.2 eco or a newer 2.0 s/c. as far as the 2.2 eco goes.. i as wondering what the best generation engine would be (HP/TQ)
also i was wondering if you guys knew of any websites that sell these engines.. iv been having trouble finding one.
any help would be great. thanks.
The 2.0 tranny wont fit. Got with an ecotec. Their fairly cheap at the local yards. You can check www.car-part.com and find the local yards which has an engine.
thanks for the help. it doesnt say whether there eco or non-eco on car-part.com. is there something i should be looking for in the vin? are all 2.2's eco?
All 2.2s from 03 onward are Eco, I believe...
yeah just put in 03 and it will be an ecotec. They put the ecotec in some 02s. I believe it was the ls models and it was towards the end of the year. But just search for 03+
